But Juvéderm® Voluma™ XC is specifically used to add volume to the middle of the face and treats very deep wrinkles like marionette lines. These are the folds that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth.

What Is the Procedure for Juvéderm® Voluma™ XC?

Juvéderm is injected under the skin with a very fine needle to minimize any discomfort. As well as reducing the look of wrinkles and fine lines, it can also be used to plump out areas you consider too thin such as the lips or the cheeks. It also comes with lidocaine, an anesthetic. Juvéderm® Voluma™ XC is FDA-approved and is for patients over 21 years of age.

Is Juvéderm® Voluma™ XC A Permanent Solution for Deep Facial Wrinkles?

Juvéderm® is considered a temporary filler, though its effects can last up to two years. After that, you might wish to return to the doctor’s office for touch-up treatments to make sure you retain your vibrant and rejuvenated look. Each session lasts about 15 minutes, and there’s no recovery time. You can get the treatment on your lunch hour then go back to work. However, it’s best to rest for a couple of days after the treatment.
